Wiley Is Still Looking for His Perfect Match 🐾

At Shy Wolf Sanctuary, our animals are here for life and adoption is rare. But on special occasions, when it is truly in the best interest of the animal, we will seek the right home; and Wiley is another one of those rare cases.

Wiley is a male wolfdog (25% Grey Wolf) who struggles in a busy sanctuary environment and would thrive with the stability of a calm, consistent home. He is a big, strong boy with some behavioral challenges, but with patience, structure, and experienced guidance, he has so much potential.

Once he feels safe, Wiley is affectionate, playful, hilarious and loves his toys! He does well on a leash (though he is strong) and has already formed bonds with several of our senior volunteers. He can be cautious with some people at first, but with gentle, respectful interactions, he learns to trust.

Wiley will need an experienced home that understands wolfdogs are not pets and require lifelong commitment and management. This is not a first-time dog situation, and placement will only be considered for the right fit.
